Alumni Open House Event

The Kinesiology Department participated in the Wiess School of Natural Sciences Alumni Open House event on Friday, November 15, 2013.  Each department in the school had an interactive booth at which alumni could visit during this Homecoming event.  Health Sciences Junior Ashley Ugarte, Kinesiology Program Administrator Jennifer Zinn, and Associate Chair Heidi Perkins staffed the booth for the department.

For the interactive portion, the Kinesiology Department challenged alumni to determine between four food items as to which had the most protein.  There were servings of lentils, almonds, skim milk, and chicken.  The trick was that each item actually had 8 grams of protein, so they were all the same.  The department also had student highlight posters to show alumni the success our students continue to have in fellowships, research, and internships.

We look forward to participating in next year's event as well!
