2014 Kinesiology Graduation Reception

The Rice University Kinesiology Department celebrated all of our 47 graduating seniors across our two programs (Health Sciences and Sports Medicine) at a special reception held in Brochstein Pavilion on Friday, May 16, 2014.  Those in attendance included graduates, parents, faculty and staff of the Kinesiology Department, and members of the Dean’s office of Natural Sciences.

We celebrated a successful first year in the Wiess School of Natural Sciences and ended the year with a total of 180 majors in our two programs.  We are proud that our department continues to grow, and wish our graduates continued success!

SevithRaoDuring the reception we recognized our two Hermance Award winners: Sevith Rao (Health Sciences) and Alex Pandiscio (Sports Medicine).  Both students have not only excelled in our programs but have also shined among their peers here at Rice University.  For more on Alex, visit https://kinesiology.rice.edu/Pandiscio.aspx, and for more on Sevith, visit http://news.rice.edu/2014/04/11/a-student-with-heart/
