Amy Lanteigne, 2011 Fulbright Scholarship Winner

Amy2 Lanteigne is a 2011 Kinesiology graduate, who earned a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to teach and conduct research in other countries. The scholarship is chosen based on academic merit and ambassadorial potential. For this scholarship, Amy went to Korea on an English Teaching Assistantship. She began in Goesan, where she took a six-week training program. At the end of her training, she was assigned to an school outside of Seoul, where she spent the remainder of her grant period teaching English.

Upon acceptance of this scholarship, Amy commented, “The Fulbright program places heavy emphasis on ambassadorial work, so I will also be encouraged to engage with my host community by learning the Korean language and exploring the culture.”

Currently, Amy is attending graduate school in Public Health at Harvard University. She is an active Student Ambassador and works closely with the Office of Alumni Affairs.
