Marisol McDaniel, DrPH, MPH bio pic

Marisol McDaniel, DrPH, MPH (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Latino Research Institute at the University of Texas at Austin. She has experience in implementing and evaluating family healthy lifestyle interventions and managing eHealth applications. Her research interests include the built and social context of diet quality and physical activity and barriers to healthy lifestyles at the intersection of race, sexual orientation, and gender identity. She is also involved with qualitative projects exploring identity, education, and health. She received her Dr.PH. in Community Health Practice (2018) and M.P.H from the University of Texas School of Public Health and a B.A. in Health Sciences from Rice University.  Her main passion project, with colleagues from the Latino Research Institute, is to expand the network of food pantries and other supports for college students in Central Texas. During her fun time, Marisol enjoys playing Just Dance on Nintendo Switch and watching anime with her husband, Issa and their son, Ronin.

Our offices are located on the 2nd floor of Tudor Fieldhouse on the east side of the building. The easiest way to access our suite is to enter through the east side door that faces the intramural fields and Wiess College. You will then go up the stairway to the 2nd floor, and our suite will be through the open door ahead on the right.
