Undergraduate Majors Clubs

Currently, there are two undergraduate clubs available for students majoring in Health Sciences or Sports Medicine & Exercise Physiology. For more information on these clubs, see below descriptions and links.

SARCOMERE: Students at Rice Committed to Optimizing Medical, Exercise, and Rehabilitation Education

SARCOMERE is meant to provide a community for all of the majors and give us a platform to connect, learn, and network. If you are majoring in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology, consider joining the club.

HEALAR: Health Sciences at Rice

The goal of HEALAR is to build a community amongst Health Sciences majors at Rice and foster a supportive environment for majors’ professional and personal development. We are committed to using our channels of communication to encourage more inter-class year interactions, promoting member engagement through volunteering and experiential learning, and exposing students to diverse careers in health sciences. Non-majors are welcome to join our listserv and attend events to learn about the major.

Our offices are located on the 2nd floor of Tudor Fieldhouse on the east side of the building. The easiest way to access our suite is to enter through the east side door that faces the intramural fields and Wiess College. You will then go up the stairway to the 2nd floor, and our suite will be through the open door ahead on the right.
